recurrent notification

Hello, I'm very new to smart phones but trying to make the leap into this new 2008 technology. Hoping someone here can help me get my phone to do what I need. I have to get the phone doing certain things for work purposes. The phone is an Atrix running 2.3.6 Gingerbread.

Is there any way to get text messages to set off a recurrent, frequent, loud tone that goes off until acknowledged? I could switch to e-mail if there is an e-mail app that would handle this need better. I'd prefer if it only did this when the sms / e-mail came from a certain source but I'd put up with it if it was just a general setting for all sms / email

Is there anyway to have voice mails set off this recurrent notification also?

Lastly, I need this phone to wake me up if it goes off while I am sleeping or hear it ring if I'm in a loud environment. Any recommendations on getting the volume cranked up and the best tones for waking and/or hearing in loud environments? I haven't been totally convinced using the factory volume and tones that it's up to the task. I tried volume+ and it made the phone quieter.

I could change phones if there's a better phone for these needs.

Thanks for any help,
Dave

I just noticed that the free version of volume+ is limited on the volume boosting, which was probably why it got quieter. I got the pay version just now and it made the phone ring a little bit louder than factory maximums. Might be enough if I can get a particularly piercing ringtone loaded.

Ok, so I downloaded the Notifications Plus app and reduced the notification repeat to 15 seconds (wish I could go a little shorter) then uploaded a volume boosted ring tone to the notifications folder on the phone and I'm now getting pretty close to what I was looking for. The only drawback is that I would prefer not to have the repeating panic tone go off for all notifications, just the ones coming from work. Looking at Tasker to maybe pull that off...

You want light flow, it great if you have a multicolor LED as you can set a color for each of the major notifications so you can see at a glance what you haven't seen before without even turning on the phone.

It also has repeating notification tones, vibration etc, one of my favourite must have apps.
