We’re hard at work with T-Mo to get Band 12 on Nexus devices by ship date
I appreciate knowing that they're working on T-Mobile certification, even if the phone's will never be available in T-Mo stores.
What does the phone being available in the store have anything to do with it?
I'm really excited to get my hands on this for many reasons, including getting back to buying a phone straight from google and not the carrier or OEM.
If nothing else google has way better support, both technical and customer service.
So they stated that it's USB 2.0 Type C (universal), but then stated it will not support USB to hdmi out! That's crazy talk. I could understand if it's USB 3.1 and they had not figured it out yet, but why remove that functionality from USB 2.0?
So no more streaming Google maps or Netflix etc from my phone to my car screen.
If T-Mobile was selling the phone, we probably wouldn't be questioning Band 12 LTE, VoLTE, and VoWiFi/WiFi calling.
Also, the thing about customer service is that physical locations still matter.
What does the phone being available in the store have anything to do with it?
1. If the phone is available through T-Mobile, then people like me can make use of T-Mo's JUMP program to get one.
2. My point had more to do with the T-Mo certification than availability. If it gets the certification, then I know that no matter where I get it--Google store or T-Mobile--the phone will work with T-Mo WiFi Calling.

I'm on T-Mobile as well (at least for now) so I'll keep my fingers crossed with you. it sounds like we're in good shape though.
