Looking at getting an HTC Inspire refurb from ATT. Any reason not to? The price diff is $100 more a new one. Thanks.

are you a new or existing customer?

I think new customers can get the phone now free and existing customers 2y contract can get it for around $49 NEW

I'm an existing customer. I just checked ATT site. Now no refurb is offered. Called and they can offer me a new one for $99, 2 year contract. I guess in general, are refurb's worth the $100 or so you save compared to a new? Anyone with direct experience?

You can get new ones from Best Buy, CostCo, Radioshack and Walmart. Why buy a refurb?

Some are new with $0 down, and even being sold for $29! Check other locations.

Good advice. This is my first new phone in about 3 yrs and first anroid. I'll check other retailers besides ATT. Thanks.

I got mine from Amazon about 3 weeks ago. BB and Radioshack have been running amazing deals on it as well.

you get the same exact phone new.

The only reason to look for a refurb would be if you're not eligible to upgrade or don't want a contract. I'm also pretty sure refurbs don't have a full warranty.

Yeah, I'd just get it new. Refurbished ones always find some way to have something wrong with it.
