Refurbished cell phones - worth buying (Driod Ultra)?

Hi, thinking about buying the droid ultra REFURBISHED from an Amazon vendor; he has only 1200 reviews as 4-star (vs others that have 120K).

Any experience on buying a refurbed cell - I can save $275 buying this over new. I've asked for detailed on how it was refrubed but the seller said he doesn't know - was refurbed at the manufacturer - keeps saying I have 30 days to return if i don't like, but that isn't very long.

Personally I would pick up a Moto X developer edition 32gb for $200 new over a refurbished ultra for $275
