Refusal to cut on

After using the Xoom for the night as I normally do I woke up the next morning and nothing. I have held the power button as normal, plugged it in to see if the led work while charging. I have gotten nothing, not a response. I will most likely take it in to the Verizon dealer tomorrow, but know what i know they will be unable to help solve any of the issues. If anyone has run into this problem in the pass and was able to resolve it, any assistance would be greatly appreciaiated.
 
I haven't messed around with mine at all, but can you remove the battery from it? If so, I would suggest taking the battery out, then holding down the power button (with the battery out) for ten seconds or so just to discharge any static electricity. Then put the battery back in and give it a shot.
 
Did you try the reset by pressing the power and volume up buttons at the same time?

Yea I had to force boot it a few times like that. Always good to search here and ask before taking it back. Good thing its all good now :-)

Cool! It must have been locked up in standby. I've had to use that twice myself.

Never had to do this on mine only when I needed to ( random freezes, messing with the system files).

Glad you got yours working again though.

I've had to do the forced reboot once on my Xoom. Since then, I've powered down my unit once or twice a week and I haven't had to reboot it again.
