Hi folks. This is an old thread that applied primarily to the Note 8.0. Any new device you purchase may or may not have an associated promotion (which could be a Google Play Store credit or an offer with some other source), and it might be from the phone manufacturer, your carrier, or Google--you can easily look for these kinds of promotions by doing a Google search for "[your phone] [your carrier] promo."

I am closing this thread, because it is no longer helpful for people who are asking about their current phones.
