There is no information on the release of the Note 5. It'll possibly be in the Fall as with the previous Note devices. Once a date is announced you can bet on it being covered here: Android Central | Android Forums, News, Reviews, Help and Android Wallpapers

Are you considering it as your next device?

Android Central's forums should automatically generate these questions once a year. :)

"When will the Note 5 be released?"
"When will the Note 6 be released?"
"When will the Note 7 be released?"
"When will the Note 8 be released?"
"When will the Note 9 be released?"
"When will the Note 10 be released?"
"When will the Note 11 be released?"
"When will the Note 12 be released?"

Re: date? time of release

I just read on MSN News that Samsung is expected to release the Note 5 this year as early as July. The reason is that they want to beat Apple when they release the next iPhone.

Could have over 700 ppi and have the same chipset as the S6. And because they are so obsessed with thin these days, it's expected to be thinner than the Note 4 BUT have a 4,100 mAh battery.

That would be nice, but I won't hold my breath. My main concerns are for a replaceable battery and micro SD option.

That would be too cool!

I think that a fixed battery might be the standard that the industry is moving towards. Even if the Note 5 had a removable battery, I'd expect its successor and going forward to have fixed batteries if the S6 is any indication. It sucks in my opinion.

I do hope the S5 releases soon though. My contract is up this month.

not gonna happen... according to Korean mobile tech websites,
the Note 5 and future Samsung "flagship" devices will not have
MicroSD cards and removable batteries. Samsung was on the
fence on this issue, but the success of the new Galaxy S6 and
S6 edge helped them make up their mind. :) (if anyone is to
share the blame, it's the current Samsung customers who gave
in and voted with their credit cards... Samsung is just responding
to the lack of interest from people who had Samsung phones
before)

If true, I'll either keep my Note 4 a little longer or switch to the LG G4.
