Has there been anymore talk about release date on the gear sport? Fitbit ionic just not doing it for me. Offline Spotify is a big thing for me and like the way the gear sport looks.

B&H Photo says you can order it on Oct 27th. I'm not sure if that means, you can pre-order it that day or if it will actually be available that day.

Anyone heard what the battery life is going to be? If it's more than the s3 that might be an advantage.

All the issues I see with the S3 and degrading battery life has me thinking twice about getting one...

I'm going to get the Sport for the following reasons:

- I'm a grown man with little girlish wrists so this will be a better fit for me.
- Better water resistance rating. We have a pool and I don't want to worry about it taking the thing off.
- I have $75 in Best Buy gift cards from Samsung pay points (yeah I guess I could use those for S3)
- The fitness apps and swimming tracking look pretty cool and I may use those features.

Both S3 frontier and classic are selling for less than $300 on amazon right now.....

That's good news. I currently subscribe to Google Play Music but will try Spotify for the free trial and watch support!

I was hoping it would arrive by Friday too, but mine hasn't shipped either.

I called best buy yesterday and the woman put me on hold and checked and said it should still arrive by tomorrow (Friday). I'm skeptical. If I wake up in the morning and there is no shipping notice I'm going to call my local best buy and see if they have it at the store. Then will just cancel my online order if they have one in store. Fingers crossed we both get ours. The only problem if I cancel my online order is I would not get the 6 months free spotify as you have to pre-order it by end of day today to get that.

I preordered from Best Buy Canada on Monday Oct 23rd and received the watch last night Oct 25th. Was really surprised I got it that quickly and before the 27th!
