Remember the LG GD910 and Samsung S9110?

Do you remember the LG GD910 and Samsung S9110 from 2009? Both were pretty good looking, but neither ever made it to the USA. Most people here in the USA have probably never heard of them. These guys are over 5 years old now...

Samsung S9110 (2G, 650mHz battery and 300 hours standby)

LG GD910 (2G & 3G, ?mHz battery and 247 hours standby)

We've come a long way baby!

Zero interest on dumb phones. But, there are few from Japan and China as well in the past. I saw them on the in-flight mail order booklet on international flights.

I understand. It's the style, screen, keyboard and "smartness" of the new Gear S that makes it such a nice upgrade from anything that is and was out there in the past.

IIRC that Samsung S9110 was about $850 when it first came out. I found it yesrtday listed HERE with a retail of $625, but 40% off at $375 now that the Gear S is out. Ha, ha, ha... More than a Gear S!
