I have never used it but I have chatted with them on the Google store site and they are great!
Well the chat didn't help at all but I figured it out. Somehow I completely forgot to check the most obvious which is the notification settings for the Google app and they were somehow set to block all. So I turned them on and now the problem is solved.

Wow, glad you figured it out!! Other than that little hiccup, how is your experience going so far?

I absolutely love the experience! It's the best Android experience I've had since switching to Android a little over a year ago.

I'm wondering if you found a way to do full screen notifications? I made sure I didn't block notifications and still only see a way to send notifications to the notification area, not full screen like I'm used to. Thanks!

I have a similar issue when setting up reminders through google assistant. It saves the reminder in my google calendar, but when the notification appears at the specified time of the reminder, it quickly disappears within a couple of seconds, thus missing my reminder. It also shows on calendar as reminder complete.

Well I don't know if mine had said it on the lock screen or not. I just tried it again for a reminder for 6:30. What I should clarify is if I set it in the Keep app my phone vibrates or makes a sound and my Gear S2 even gives me a notification showing my reminder. When set through the assistant it almost seems like it is a silent reminder which is not what I am looking for. I am really wanting it to give me a sound or vibration and stay there so I actually get reminded and I know I can do it manually through Keep but it would be nice to be able to just tell the assistant to remind me at a time and have it actually remind me.

I don't get a sound for a reminder when I use Google Assistant.

I worked it out!

had exactly same problem as original post, except my notifications weren't turned off so that didn't fix it.

Here's what I did - go to Google app - settings - notifications - your feed (i think - i cant actually see what's written here as I've smashed my screen on that specific bit) - then scroll down to reminders - mine was set to 'show silently'. I changed that to 'make sounds and pop up on screen' and set my sound to something different so I'd listen out for them.

Hope it works for you!
