Remote device wipe and device lock (on froyo)

Does anybody know how to trigger this? It's listed as one of the enhancement features in the Verizon froyo update slide (second one on the top). It would be nice if this was tied into my google account.

I just hope it isn't a feature that verizon has control over. I trust me a lot more than our big red brother.

Yeah I thought about that. Like if you lose your phone and then call Vzw to tell them to lock or erase it. I doubt they would even know what I'm talking about. That would be sucky but I appreciate the option.

Isn't this for the improved Exchange integration as some security policies require it?

It's probably in VZW's hands so they can charge a per use fee.

Calm down conspiracy theorists. This is an exchange policy that allows an exchange administrator to wipe your phone remotely. You need to be connected to an exchange server for this to happen. It only applies to phones connected to an exchange server.
