Anyone else see the article on Engadget about this? Apparently the revolution will be the first to pilot this so a customer service tech can remotely tap your phone. Later on in the article HTC says there on the same path.

Then I think to myself will Samsung even consider this?

Next line is an update that the charge will get it as well.

Never will happen on the nexus right? Seeing this is a developer phone?

They'd all just blame problems on your phone being rooted

I hate to say it but I envy Apple how it can tell any carrier to shove their bloatware and garbage apps up you know what.
Google tried that with GN and no updates, I bet Verizon will push this spyware on GN as well.
Google couldn't even remove the stupid V logo off the phone.

I really hope this doesn't come to the nexus. I also thought this would draw more attention as this is a pretty bold move by Verizon. They call it customer service but I think its an effort by them to crack down on the developer community.

At least were not reminded of our carrier whenever our screen is on like the iPhone. Besides I doubt Google really cared about the Verizon logo. When you use the phone he Verizon logo is on the back and the Google search bar is shown clear as day on every home screen. At least its not on the front like every other Verizon phone minus the iPhone.

While I half agree with you, google:cool: the "Carrier IQ" fiasco from last year. Apple was in on that one...
