Removal of phone pattern

[Android Central Question]

I have a y6s and have dace recognition and fingerprint setup to access my phone. I also setup a pattern. I want to remove the pattern functionality but can't remember the pattern.
To remove pattern it appears to want me to draw the pattern first even though I can get into the phone and hence gave full functionality.
How do I remove the pattern option without having to draw it?

I agree , factory reset.
