I use my captivate as my work phone. I have 2 gmail accounts on it now. The one i set up as "primary" i no longer use and need to remove it off of my device. How am i able to do this without doing a factory reset and loosing all of my data?

I know i can go export and import my contacts and calenders from one to another on the computer.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Simple Verdes, go to menu/accounts and sync/manage accounts and tap on the gmail account you want to get rid of and tap on the "remove account" button at the bottom of the screen.

Unfortunately you cannot remove the GMail account that you set the phone up with without doing a factory reset - it is tied to too many system apps. If you really do not want to reset, just disable sync for the account and you won't even know it's there.

Is it possible to just edit the account settings for the 1st account to the new Gmail account?
