Hi,
I am new to android and tabs, so to start I bought a refurbed/reset S5e LTE, when I switched it on I had to verify the old account synced to the tab, so after a phone call to the previous owner and her son (who had been using the Tab), we entered the relevant account details and passwords and it let me in to set-up an account for me.

Now here's the questions.
1. do I have to remove the previous owners google account and her son's account from the tab, if so how do I do that or did the factory reset do that before I got it. It will only show my account and will only allow me to delete my account not the account that was registered with the google FRP account
2. Is the tab still registered to the previous owner's Google account because it was not removed before they factory reset it?

I would remove all Google accounts and all Samsung accounts, then reset the device again. You needed the login info because the previous owner did not do this step. You will need to enter the account passwords in order to remove them from the device. Some say that simply resetting the device from within settings is enough, I wouldn't take chances and would remove the accounts before resetting.

It's an old article but still mostly relevant - http://www.androidcentral.com/factory-reset-protection-what-you-need-know

In settings>factory reset will erase all accounts if you try this in recovery it wont and settings factory reset will ask a password or pin to confirm.

Best bet , go back to who you bought it from and have them erase their account in front of you .

Thanks @hallux, but I can only see my Google account and Samsung account the original accounts are not shown.

Thanks @mustang7757, If I use Settings>Factory reset, will it remove all and any accounts on the device, or will it just remove my new accounts and leave the original registered account intact.

I have the original passwords and username from the previous owner which they no longer use.

Settings>factory reset will remove all accounts, your welcome!
