Remove or reset missed call on always on notification

The S7 has a cool feature regarding that the hour and day are seen on the dysplay all the time. My problem is that the missed call icon (a bouncing arrow) is always there and I can't get rid of it. I've erased all the call logs but it still is there.
Any ideas?

Once you view your call logs, it should disappear. Reboot the phone and see what happens.

Are you using a third-party phonecall app? The always on feature is always looking at the built-in app. So to remove it you have to open this app in order to remove the icon. Very disturbing and I don't know how the change it to look at the third-party app, any ideas?
