Remove sim card lock option missing

I am trying to remove sim card password but the option to create and remove simm password is not available on my phone. Samsung Galaxy s10+ v12

Thank you mustang for your reply. I have the password to gain access to the phone I just prefer to not password protect it. The option to remove the password is missing from my settings.

Can you post a screenshot of the menu you referring to ? So this not sim card lock but ehen phone is locked?

I can't seem to get the screenshot in.. It is the password on the sim card I want to remove..all searches I have found online say to go to sim card lock tab and untick it. There is no such option on my phone. I can access my phone as normal, but I want to remove the sim card password

When you go settings and type sim in the top search bar what comes up?

Welcome to the forums. Which options do you get if you search for 'card' in your settings?

It should be under "Biometrics & security >> Other security settings >> Set up SIM card lock....

All I have when searching for sim is sim card status which gives me my providers name.
When I search for card I have encrypt or decrypt SD card, sim card status as I mentioned for sim search , back up SD card to one drive, sim card messages of which there are none.

Weird. I wonder if the lack of that setting is related to your carrier or specific card. Which carrier are you using? Do you have any proprietary app to manage your card/mobile plan?

When you write a message etc. remove the keyboard and you will see it..

I remember buying, when traveling, some pre-paid SIM cards that were locked by default and had to dig into the settings to disable that option. The strange thing is that the OP can't find the option in the phone settings.

So maybe have to contact carrier if there no settings.

The sim card came locked along with a code to open up the phone also a puk code, in case of messing up the original code.
