Remove Stock battery Indicator?

Since the stock battery indicator on the Epic doesn't work worth a hoot, is there a way to remove it without rooting a phone?

You would most definitely need to root your phone to do that. Although it might be possible to make an app that "hides" the indicator, but I haven't come across such an app yet.

Run the Grimey Goods ROM. It replaces it.
