Remove Widgets from Desktop on Nook Honeycomb

I have honeycomb running on my nook color. I have put some widgets on my desktop. How do I delete them from my desktop? Can I delete these widgets all together, from the OS?

welcome to android central. to delete a widget from your home screen, long press it, and once it "releases" from the home screen, drag it to the trash can icon. im also going to move this to the nook color forum so you can get any further questions answered by the community
