I used Swype on my previous phone. One of the nice things about it was you could remove words from the dictionary so that it would not, for example, insist on putting "yippy" when I mean to type "you." I can't figure out how to do this with the default Samsung keyboard. Is there a way? It also insists on "whay" instead of "what".

I believe you can long-press on a suggested word and remove it from your dictionary. But remember that this keyboard also 'learns' from you. If you 'correct' the word (tap it and select one from the suggestions) it'll eventually learn that you usually mean WHAT and not WHAY.
