Removed Bing still Bings!

I followed the directions on de-binging this fascinate, and it works for everything except the browser. If I type something into the browser, it still goes to bing. Is there a default search engine for the browser?

Bing is built into the stock browser, so the only way to get around that is using a third party browser, or replacing the stock browser with the one from the Mesmerize, which didn't use bing at all

As far as the browser is concerned, those two are basically the only way thus far. I wish I had something else for you, sorry

Got it. There is a browser.apk that removes bing. I think it's from the mesmerize. Bing is dead from this phone and now i'm happy!

I prefer Dolphin because you can set it to clear your cache/cookies on close, along with having a few other handy features for bookmarks and such. But the mesmerize one works for just de-binging as well.

The mesmerize browser has an ugly blue hue to it...
