AC Question

hello

i bought the s5 neo last night and upon importing my contacts i manage to get the one also from the gmail and yahoo. when i go see my contact in the contact app i see the one i want bout 30 of them but when i send an email and i choose the contact i get a bunch more i dont want like 100 and cant seem to delete them or see were to go to do so

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that you don't want your contacts from Google and Yahoo to be synced with the phone's Contacts app? If so, go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your account], select Contacts, and uncheck it. Do the same for Settings>Accounts-Yahoo.

thank you. but can i delete the one allready there ? cant seem to delete the email one but the phone contact i can. i managed to hide them by clicking groups option in email contact . keeping the all contact option show the ones i hardly use

After unchecking the contact sync as described above, you could then go to the App Manager, select Contacts and Contact Storage, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Then open Contacts again--the Google and Yahoo contacts should be gone.

However, be aware that if the contacts that are important to you are only saved to the local Phone account, then do not do this, because clearing the data from Contact Storage will probably wipe out those contacts as well.
