removing ringtones from the music app?

is there any way to make my ringtones not show up in the music app with my music?

What you want to do is to create a blank file named ".nomedia" and place it into the folder that contains audio files you wish to "hide" from the media player.

Although, it should skip your ringtones and notification folders by default... You did put your custom ringtones and notifications in the "\media\audio\ringtones" and "\media\audio\notifications\" folders, respectively, rather than in your "\Music" folder, right?
