Removing SD Card, Remove ROOT?

I was going to trade phones with my friend and we wanted to keep our SD cards, we are both rooted, My Phone is an Incredible and his a Droid X, by removing our SD cards do we have the chance of unrooting, or even worse, bricking our phones?! Can someone let me know ASAP!? Thank you!

i dont believe so. ive removed mine several times since rooting and swaped it out for diff ones. no issues.

You will want to delete any back ups you made on your card then make a new backup of your new phone. If you try to flash a backup from your old phone you may brick it.

good thinking, you really do not want to do that at all. well since the droid x does not have a recovery you can't but still just a good FYI!
