I have to no doubt, Apple will one day decide to remove their Lightning port and come up with a BS excuse why WIRELESS CHARGING is the way to go.

It was only a matter of time before SAMSUNG followed suit, by finally removing the 3.5mm headphone jack. I get it they need to increase sales of their Galaxy Buds.

I hope not. A lot of people use their phone while charging, which isn't possible with wireless charging unless you strap the charging stand to the phone. That would be even more cumbersome to use!

I really wish manufacturers would stop selling incomplete phones. You spend $1,000+ on a "premium" phone, only to have to buy additional accessories to regain capabilities that use to be standard.

This illustrates your comments perfectly...

But what's wrong with that?

I like having both, like on my recently acquired discount Galaxy S8. Love the convenience of wireless charging (I own an offbrand "fast" wireless charger) and the speed of a cable
