AC Question

My Home Button no longer responds and I accidentally placed my phone in Universal Switch Mode. I understand disabling it is normally done by pressing the home button three times, but that is not possible with my phone.

I am thinking of alternatives, is there another way to hard reset my phone, without the use of the home button?

The port on my S6 is also broke not too long ago and PCs do not recognize my phone when connected.

So my boyfriend ran into the same problem and I started looking up how to fix it and someone said they fixed it by using a mouse with a micro usb connector to fix their phone. Apparently you can navigate the screen with it. Hope this helps!

SOLVED: Yes, This works. I got connected my phone using micro USB connector cable to mouse. Once the mouse is connected we can go to settings and deactivate the Universal Switch.

Delete the switches in universal switch.. goto universal switch .. you will find settings button on the top with universal switch button.. go inside it and delete all switches.. the problem never comes back

Never switch off your phone if bixby is working .. ask bixby to turn off univesal switch.. that will do the job.. after that delete aall the switches in universal switch

I found an easy fix without Mini USB converter in the same condition on my Samsung S6 where universal switch is turned on and the home button is not working.

In order to resolve this issue: Let your phone completely drain out the battery to turn off the
phone as this is the only situation where you can get your phone switched off since Universal switch doesnt let touch pad to work. Now switch on the phone by charging it.
Once the phone is turned on Immediately get in to Settings > Accessibility > Dexterity and Interaction > Universal Switch > Turn off the Universal Switch. You would be freed from Universal switch.

Note: All the above operations need to be done so quicky, as the phone is turned on universal switch will be active lin ess than a minute. Try to charge the phone as less as possible as you might need to perform above steps more than once.

Hope this would fix the issue. Thumbs up if it worked for u
