Repeating notifications

Do you guys have a problem with repeating notifications? I have text messages that keeps popping up. Same with emails. I've tried different text apps. I'll get the notification..I'll swipe down see it and go back to what I'm doing and then later on it does it again.

Is this normal? I'm just trying to figure out if that could have anything to do with my massive battery drain and bluetooth issues.

Check your messaging app's settings to see if there's a Repeat Alert option, as mentioned here.
