Replace LG Keyboard-app on stock Gingerbread?

I'm pretty fed up with the LG keyboard-app because of a big memory drain. After a reboot the app uses 8MB, but after a while (could be hours, even days) it starts to use more and more memory. The only way to get it back to normal is to reboot. Right before the last reboot the app was using just over 40MB and was slowly increasing.

Is there any way to replace this crappy app with the stock GB keyboard?
