Hey,

I got the back glass on my Samsung Galaxy s6 replaced just coming up to a year as of August. It wasn't an official Samsung store, neither was it an official part. Only in the last few days have I noticed that the back is becoming unbearably hot to the point where the back screen protector started showing cracks and now has been taken off.

Taking off the screen protector didn't solve the problem, as your can probably tell. I know that the Samsung s6 has had heat issues from day one. I've heard that in the US they cannot refuse replacement if the previous repair wasn't the cause of the problem. However, I'm in the UK. I don't know if sending in my phone will do any good, and they'll just give it back.

Any suggestions?

Jamie

My S6 has never had heat issues so not sure what heat problems since day one your referring to.
Also if you had your back glass replaced a year ago that would have nothing to do with the issue your having now.
The excessive heat is probably coming from the processor so my suggestion would be to try to see what app you installed or updated recently, wipe system cache, and as last resort factory reset.

When I say "From day one" I'm not talking about myself but the countless others who have overheating devices.

I've already contacted Samsung and they're going through some processes at the moment. Not sure if they're just going to roll out an update or replace my phone, but at the moment the problems is being resolved.

Again i ask what over heating issues? The device its self is a great well built device. Most over heating issues are not a problem of the device but usually heavy usage or an app issue or syncing issue causing the CPU to run constantly and thus heating up. But thats completely different from a device that has heating problems from the start or is known to run hot.

Yours is a prime example. YOU have had it over a year and you said its only over heating now and asking for a solution. By your own admittance your device has not over heated.

Samsung admits that the phone overheats. Literally search "Samsung s6 Overheating" and you'll get results from news outlets, how-to's, and forums including Android Central. It is a great device, I agree. But that does not change the fact that alot of people get actual burns from holding the metal ring around the phone.

a lot of people get burns from the metal ring around the phone.?
LOL ok im done.. Someone else chime in and try to help this person.

Yes they have, and if you actually searched it up you would've seen that.

I already said I don't need anymore help, I've already contacted them.

Anyways, let me Google that for you... http://bfy.tw/CVCM
