First off, let's keep it on replacements please. If we get off track for a post or two, ok, but this space will stick with worthy "next" phone for HTC Aria lovers.

**IMPORTANT**

The S3 is not a replacement, nor anything like that phone. We're talking the same or similar size, screen, capabilities, etc. If you put "go for the S3!!" you might as well write "I love the Note!" or "go for a Kindle!" . Those aren't replacements. A phone 4x's as big is not a replacement. I know, I have my Aria sitting on top of my S2, and next to an S3. They-- and 80% of the phones being placed on the market today-- are waaaay too big for what I-- and maybe you-- are looking for.

Replacement? Upgrade? Did you get/see something similar? Go!

(the original post I just wrote in a different thread that sparked the idea to create this one...

"If anyone ever finds an actually comparable phone spread the word! The phones now-a-days are as big as a shoe. Looking for something that is as sleek and understated as the Aria. The whole *phone* fits on just the screen of the S2/S3 etc. Which I bought, but just cannot get past this huge size. Looking for a small, capable phone, not a pocket tablet. Hopefully the pendulum will swing back when people realize that at least for phone screens, bigger is definitely *not* better." )

So agree with your assessment of the "newer" phones, I want a smaller phone too, but it looks like they will just keep getting larger. I loved the size of my Aria, then went to the Moto Atrix, which I thought was huge, but compared to my g s3 now, it could be considered small too!

Some day, I hope they will swing back to smaller, but I am sceptical.

Outside of the iphone and the Motorola RAZR M on big red, every phone worth buying is very large.

What carrier?

Motorola DROID RAZR M
Motorola RAZR i
HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE
