I got a replacement Tbolt because my original was having so many issues. Well the replacement is much better, but I just realized that the camera doesn't work. It did work shortly after I got it, but what gives? Why does Verizon send out refurbished phones in the first place? Somebody returned it because it wasn't working properly for them. Sorry, but I just had to vent.

Try going in and clearing out the cache

MENU --> SETTINGS --> APPLICATION --> MANAGE APPLICATIONS --> Go to the CAMERA and then clear the cache.

Thanks. Tried that, but there is no cache to clear. I already did a restart and also pulled the battery, Sim card and SD card. Looks like I am going to have to call and ask for another lemon.

Have you tried another camera application from the Market?. I use Camera360 or Pro Zoom Camera 5X.

Are you rooted?

I am not rooted. Standard camera, and I noticed it when I tried to read a QR code.Verizon support is trying to blame it on an app, even though I tried to tell them it worked when I got the phone and I haven't downloaded any new apps that weren't on my old Tbolt. I am so close to asking them to switch me to a iPhone, since the tech I talked with told me that if the second replacement doesn't work properly she would try to get me an entirely different phone.

Doing a factory reset is alot easier then going throught the hassle of getting another phone that may be worse then what you have now. Your contacts should auto sync back and its worth the hour needed to set it back up.

Plus if it doesn't work after the reset, when you get the next phone you will have to set it up again anyway..

Not cache, clear data....

I tried that too and nada. I already called and they are sending out a replacement phone. I have very little faith that doing a factory reset will fix this.

Where is your sense of adventure?......my daughter got a replacement TBolt that had a bad camera......maybe you got the one she had....I'm just sayin!........LOLOLOL

My daughter tried to get them to switch her to a new phone (after 3 TBolts) and they said "NOPE"....your lucky!
