Replacement phone is refurbished

I never have and never will settle for refurbs in place of a brand new defective device......you shouldn't either ;)

For what we're charged, its a scam, a ripoff.

A scam? You only found out after you got the phone home what it was and what it cost? They fooled you into thinking that you are paying a different price, for a different phone?

If not, then it wasn't a scam. You got exactly what you thought you were getting, for exactly the price you thought it was.

Refurbished is always better than new - units with any manufacturing defects have already been identified and screened out, and the whole phone has been given a thorough once-over.

The Verizon website had notices all over it during December that devices purchased by Christmas could be returned up to January 14th. I received my Pixel on December 13th and I called Verizon and they told me that yes, I had till January 14th to return it.

I have said a few times I don't doubt what you guys saw or were told. All I'm relaying is what I was told. And I didn't go to the website since I had to do a alternative line upgrade (aka taking someone else's upgrade and applying it to my line). The last time I tried to do one on the website I couldnt, so I did it through telesales and customer service, who told me the return period was still 14 days. AGAIN, not saying you weren't told differently or that it isn't how it was, just that is what they told ME.

I've had my pixel since day 1. No real issues except 1. For what we're charged, its a scam, a ripoff. My S7 edge is twice the device. But my daily driver is my ZTE axon7. Fantastic build quality, 64gb on board with micro sd expansion, excellent battery life, a superamoled screen that puts pixel to shame, and the reason bought it, as an audiophile, you can't beat its double dac hifi system with dolby atmos. And it was just rated one of the 10 fastest phones of 2016 beating the pixel.
That's a suggestion to resolve this?

On second thought, let's not feed the troll.

Sorry for the off topic, carry on everyone.

That's not an issue... That's an opinion. Last time I checked those are two completely different things...

For the main topic, I've never had a replacement phone straight from Google, but the majority of replacement phones I've gotten from Verizon have been refurbished. Never had any issues with them.

But like others have said, return that sucker. And buy another new one, or see if a store has one you can swap out with.

I bought a Pixel XL phone from Google store in February and after 16 days I contacted their support team regarding some problems with camera autofocus.
They said they will replace it under warranty as soon as I send it back with the original packaging and all accessories.
I did that and after a week they sent me a refurbished phone in a small service box that could fit only the phone(the box has only the hello word on it and a sticker). There were no accessories at all, just the phone.
The refurbished phone has light scratches on the back and the screen is raised too much at one of the corners. Also, around the bezel there are a few places where the paint is chipped. That's probably where they inserted a sharp metal blade to remove the screen.
I contacted them again and they asked me to buy to charger from their store and they will refund me for the charger. There is nothing else they can do about it.
Now, even if I want to sell this device, I can't recover most of the cost that I payed for it because it doesn't look as new, has no box and no accessories.
