I'm getting a new replacement EVO 3D from Sprint in the next few days due to slow data connection issues - basically I'm stuck at 1xRTT no matter what I've done, nor what Sprint has done. Getting no faster than .12Mbs down and .13Mbs up, meanwhile my partner's phone right next to me will get about 1.1 down and .3 up. After looking at the speedtest CVS, I'm always at the 1xRTT and he's on EvdoA.

Anyways, getting to the real question. Can I just take my existing SD card out of my EVO 3D and put it into the new one and be done? Or should I copy the data over?

Thanks!

You can take out the as card prior to letting go of the phone. They give you another without the card.

I had an evolution 4g, and I was using 32 gig card, when I got 3d I switched cards. It was losing data. I did some research and found that I had to get a different class card, I believe it is class ten... If not I will correct it in another post.

I'm confused. You seem like you saying that you had a problem and needed a class 10 card to fix it, but the link you provided is saying that any class should work.

Any class card will " work " but the quality of the work being done ones into question....

A class 2 card might not have the necessary read/write speeds you need to view video as smooth as it should be... Pictures might take awhile to load... Etc

A class 4+ however will have the required speeds for less "hiccups" when viewing sd card content.

He's getting a new Evo 3D to replace his old one so he can just put the memory card into the new one like he does for the old one and done.

I haven't done it myself to know for sure, but I've read that if you use a class to card you'll lose the ability to record HD (1280 x 720) video. It won't be able to write the data to the SDcard fast enough.
