So I had the misfortune of having my rear camera lens shatter. My local third party repair shop does not have the part for this phone yet. I've been scouring the web attempting to find the part on my own and I haven't had any luck. I don't want to attempt to fix it myself, just from watching the tear down videos, but I was thinking if I could find the part somewhere I'd be able to go to a reputable shop and have them fix it. Is this part available anywhere? Can we use a part for say an S5? I don't want to be without my phone for weeks to have Samsung fix it for twice what I could have a local shop charge.

This phone was just released so it may be a little while waiting on the parts supply to be up.

Tough break ... buy a new one. . Move on ..

Buy a new phone? That is your answer seriously? Wow. Must be rough having $800 just lying around, especially. If you had spent literally 4 seconds reading my post you'd know I'm asking where I can get a replacement rear camera lens, or any information on how long until parts become available. I could send it to Samsung and they'd fix it for quite a bit cheaper then replacing the phone but, I'd be without one for several weeks and they refuse to tell me how much it would cost to fix.

Go into a phone store, AT&T, VZW, where ever, and compare/measure the back lens and cover with whatever phones they have there. Talk to someone there and ask questions about fit. If the lens on the Note 5 is anything like the Note 4, it's just put on by double-back tape. You can buy lenses for a lot of phones on ebay and Amazon. Be careful though, some of the stuff on ebay is plastic from what I've read.

Do you have insurance? If so then you can file a claim.
