I have to return and exchange my S22 Plus. I hate the idea of having to restore data, settings, home page layout, etc. If I use Smart Switch to back up to a USB while waiting for my replacement to arrive, what will I still have to manually handle?

if you transfer everything, you'll manually need to login to all of your apps, websites, etc. but everything else should transfer (wallpaper, ringtones, notification sounds, and so on)

note: it will take a little while for everything to populate, so be patient (30 - 60 minutes, my experience)

it transfers most of everything and home screen layout. but i use Google first to restore all apps as Google restores app settings and data. smart switch doesn't. so if you can't back up all your apps manually with an export feature then you want to use Google to restore first then Smart Switch. it's just a pain in the but to do google first as Samsung hides the option to do it trying to get you to use Smart Switch. dang thing is when i got a new Galaxy Tab A 2022 tablet smart switch would never connect to my old Galaxy 2020 tablet to transfer from my old tablet.

You still have to manually set-up bank apps , using Google auto fill or Samsung pass should have log in details but have to set up biometric again and pretty much the reset like settings/Bluetooth and what u mention should come onboard
