I abandoned my earlier Replenish, and bought a new one on Ebay.
I was rooted, and running a custom rom and kernel, but Play Store would always terminate before I could do anything. This continued to be an issue even after doing a factory restore, and clearing cache. I looked around for new copies of the rom and Kernel, in case they had somehow been corrupted on my phone, and couldn't find links that worked. Therefore, I will not be rooting the new phone.
Now, the new phone is on Froyo (build ED15)but it refuses to find an OTA update I have tried to "Update Firmware" and "Update Samsung Software" (I forget which one would download the update). I tried each a couple of times over the last feww days.
To be honest, I am fine with Froyo, but was curious if anyone knows if Sprint deleted the update to save a couple of meg on their terabytes of storage, or if there is something else I should try... I don't care enoughb about upgrading to even spend my time with calling for support.
Any thoughts?
