Does anyone use it for when turning on your phone or restarting it? Does it really provide extra security?

If my phone randomly reboots in the middle of the night, I'll miss my alarm because it'll be sitting at the PIN screen.

I don't use it for that reason.

I really think that having a pin or pattern for the phone and the secure folder on start up really defeats the purpose of biometric security.

Yes. I still can't figure out why that option isn't working. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Yep, I still have to put in the PIN on reboot also.

I tried the other option to require the pin. I get a whole different screen, but still need a pin to boot the phone. Didn't make any difference

I use it, just in the event I lose my phone, it's a brick to anyone who finds it and all of my info isn't touched.
