It's available online now, again.

"Thank you for contacting Costco.com.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 for AT&T is currently out of stock on our website. We do expect to have it in stock again sometime today or tomorrow. The wireless kiosks in your local Costco warehouse are scheduled to begin stocking device on or around October 17, 2011."

I ordered mine thru costco online on friday 10/7/11 during a time they were available. Got UPS notice that it shipped on monday 10/10 and will be delivered on tuesday 10/11 (Portland, OR area). Pretty quick!

Congratulations! That's awesome!:-) I did see them when they were available but, I have an Infuse and if I decide to swap it for the S2, I have to do it in the store. So, once again, I wait...sheesh

Same situation with me. I have been calling the Costco kiosk every other day or so asking if it's in or not yet.

Yesterday the guy said they should have it by the 19th, which is one more week. I'll call them again on the 17th, based on that e-mail you got.

I emailed Wireless Advocates instead of Costco so, if the stores are saying the19th and WA is saying around the 17th, it seems to me we can count on it being in store within a week. That would be great because I only have 2 weeks left on Costco's 90 day return policy. I really want to test drive it a bit more to see if there is that much of a difference in performance. I'm not sure I can move to a smaller screen.

A friend of mine just got a SGS2 from AT&T and let me mess around with it yesterday. The size difference (4.5" vs 4.3") is not that noticable and the phone is significantly faster. Not sure how much of that is attributed to running Gingerbread vs Froyo, but it was significant.

I just rooted mine yesterday to make a full back-up of all my apps with Titanium Backup. Going to flash it back to stock, wipe the memory card, then take it back when the SGS2 comes out. Sure hope it's the 19th or sooner, I'm getting tired of waiting.

Went to Costco today to go grocery shopping and stopped by the wireless Kiosk. I was excited to see a SGS2 demo setup and add ... only to realize it was for T Mobile. What garbage, the T Mobile one that released AFTER AT&T's ended up being available before AT&T's at Costco.

The sales associate still couldn't confirm when it'd be in, just said it could be any day this week.

Was at Costco today. Computer said Oct 20 for $149 new or upgrade.

Very cool. I was hoping tomorrow, but I suppose one more day couldn't hurt.

BTW, just noticed today that the SGS2 now shows as ONLINE AND IN WAREHOUSE on the Costco Wireless Website.

Just called the kiosk and they told me it still wasn't in today, but I let them know that the website is now showing as AVAILABLE IN STORE to give them a heads up. They said they are hoping to get it any day now. Tomorrow was supposed to be the day, according to the guy I spoke to last week at the kiosk. We'll see if it happens or not.

I'm going to head over there tomorrow after I back up my Infuse and wipe it. Hopefully they'll have them.

If anyone goes, I know costco gives you an accessory kit when you buy a phone from them. I was told by someone that you only get it as a new buyer though and not if you are upgrading. Can someone confirm if that is true when they go in? I won't make it until Friday.

I upgraded my parents at Costco in January and they both got the kit. Only thing useful is the car charger tho.

I called today and they said they had them. I went over there and discovered, yeah, they had them.... for t-Mobile! I couldn't believe it. They only had 10 in the warehouse for t-mobile, but at least they had them. On their stock list, the ATT S2 didn't even have a due date! In fact, it was one of only two phones they didn't have in the warehouse. Grrrr....getting my hands on this phone has been a lesson in futility. I did try the larger t-mo version and I have to say, it was darn snappy:-) I really doubt I can downsize to a smaller screen, but I'd have to try it to know and so far, it's been one slippery sucker to get my hands on. :-)

Looks like I'm lucky to have got mine online when I did from Costco (delivered 10/11/11).

Tunie - I'd be pretty surprised if you find the 0.2" of screen space to be a deal-breaker. For me - average sized male - I find the phone about as big as I want to deal with.

I did an upgrade and it came with the accessory kit. The leather belt-clip case is totally hokie. The car charger should be useful (I haven't used it yet) and it also comes with two screen savers. I installed one but having not used one before I'm not sure how much change to the screen appearance is normal. It doesn't change the screen so much as it holds fingerprints and it doesn't cover the whole face of the phone, therefore I see the edge of the screen saver at the top of the phone glass (just under the ear speaker).

Well, I called another costco today and they had 5 of 10 left. I couldn't believe they only got 10. He said they sold 5 the first day, yesterday. They didn't have one I could try so I swapped my Infuse for it. I have 2 weeks to change my mind. I'm really torn right now. The .2" difference isn't much, I know, but it's huge to me, now that I'm using the S 2. I m need more time with it, but it is harder for me to type and the fonts are small in comparison to the Infuse. I have to say the resolution and depth of color is better on the S2 and it's -far- more responsive. In fact, I barely get near the keys and they type! Anyway, right now the phone seems small to me, but I expected that. The downside of the Infuse is that I doubt the OS will be ipdated any, time soon, and I worried it wouldn't be supported on the same level as the S2. That said, so far, I like the Infuse better, even though the S2 is faster. I just have to find a better kehboard now so I do.ct make so many thpi.g mistakes. You see what happwns if I tey tuk type fast? Lol. Just more room on the Infhse to typw....heh

Buying the Infuse in-store to do the trade in has come back to bite me in the butt. The price would have only been $169 for me to add a line, but now the website is showing $199.

Bummer. AND my local Costco hasn't even started showing it as ordered yet! Very disappointed the Tmobile SGS2 came in way before AT&T's (at least a full week early).

Now it looks like I won't get mine until at least Tuesday. Very disappointed.

On the bright side, it looks like the Galaxy Nexus might be out by December. I have my 90 exchange window until Dec 8. Probably won't be able to wing that, but it'd be nice if it comes out by then!

My Costco got them this morning and I picked up one after work along with an Infuse for my wife. Getting used to it now and really liking it. Now it's time to start looking for some apps.

Well, that is the understatement of the year. The screen protectors are cut to fit and too short but it will do the job until I get one made for the phone.
