Restarting phone and says custom??

Sounds like a rooted device. Someone might have done it behind your back? Have you let anyone borrow it recently?

Check in your apps to see if you have SuperSU. If you do then it has been rooted for sure.

My S6 Edge+ just did the same thing. Brand new phone, no way in hell I would risk throwing away my warranty. I restarted it and it went away! The big lock symbol and the unlocked text are both gone!

Hi, I was wondering if you ever found out why your phone did that? I have a Samung galaxy, I bought new from verizon, I have not had it a year yet. Never had any problems. Great phone. On 4/19/14 I was having trouble with the 4G and restarted my phone a few times. Did not really help. So I took the battery out, (did not turn off the phone first) and place it back in. Still not much help with 4G. I guess I did this about 3x in a hours time. and I guess it was one time to many, the last time my phone came on it said Samsung, custome unlock. An from there on, I had NO use of my phone. I never returned to turning on, just would go to the white Verizon screen and never turn on.

I have NEVER tried to root my phone and always thought I was careful as to what I downloaded. I called verzion and spoke to one of the tech's who said he had never heard of that before. He suggested I do a factory reset, which I had already tried with no luck. He said I had to go to my local Verizon store, which I did the next day and they guy there had no idea what was wrong or why it did this.

I had to be sent a new phone. I am still confused as to what happened and why. I don't what it to happen again an as I have no idea why, I can't say it will not. So I was wondering if you knew what casued your to do that and did you have to get a new one?
Thanks
Robin

The EXACT same thing happened to me with my galaxy s5. I took it to the at&t store and they gave me a new Sim card thinking that it was fried and it still didn't help. We factory reset it and still nothing. Finally after hours of frustration they told me I was just gonna have to purchase a new phone.

And today I got a used galaxy s4 mini and literally everything that happened to the last one is happening to this one!

I checked my apps and I do not have SuperSU. So let's say someone did try to root it, what now? How do I fix it?

I had the same thing happen to me. And if you were to reboot the phone or shut it down it would take forever. I got the app Hi Security and cleaned my phone with it and the lock went away and my data came back. Not saying that this app fixed it, but rebooting over 10 times and nothing it seemed to work after I installed this app.

I have figured out a way to get rid of the custom logo from boot up
All you have to do is go into recovery mode and select reboot (don't do anything except reboot) then you are done the logo is gone. to go into recovery mode all you need to do is turn off your phone. once the phone is completely off then press the home button+power+volume up.

My phone won't turn off, the custom sign keeps on flashing in about 3 second bursts.
How do i turn it off?

Yes! I did the exact same thing and I got the same results. I need help

I have a galaxy j7 and its brand new and froze on the first day. I pulled the battery rebooted into safe mode and it froze after a few seconds, rebooted into recovery and wiped caches still stuck in boot loop, factory reset still stuck in a boot loop and now I cant even get into safe mode. The phone was new not refurbished and all the packaging was sealed.
I am convinced that something on facebook or a website, some malware did this and tried rooting the phone or flashing new firmware and it ****ed up.
IDK it sucks though because I am stuck in the middle of nowhere for 5 days with no phone to call for a ride to get a new one.

Ok heres what i want yall to do. Shut the phone down... Go to recovery mode by clicking the home button the volume up key and the power on button. Then click recovery logs. Then theres gonna pop up like recovery log things and then click the very first one then click power on multiple times and it will confirm the stuff while its on process. And its done back to normal. Its gonna remove the custom with padlock when on boot screen

When I tried this, it gave me a message that said installing updates then a message that said No commands. after 30second -1minute went pass it asked if I wanted to reboot. When I clicked reboot the screen still showed the unlocked lockpad with the custom message.
