Resting heart rate wildly inaccurate after update

My Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is way off after the update. It's basically doubling my resting heart rate. I'm a runner so my resting heart rate is pretty low, usually between 45 and 60 BPM. Right now it's showing my heart rate as 120 and I'm just sitting here. I checked my pulse manually and I got 60.

Anyone else having this issue? If I take the watch off for like 30 seconds and put it back on, it will register correctly for several minutes but then it goes haywire again.

I'm not impressed with this update at all.

Oddly, it has been fine on my runs the last few days. It hasn't been reporting 280bpm or anything crazy. It seems right on for my runs. Not sure what is up with resting rate though.

I'm seeing the same thing. I didn't realize it was double but I checked with a pulseox device and it was half what the watch is showing so your observation appears to be correct.

HR was all over the place on my run this afternoon. It was too high. I'm not impressed. Time to get a Garmin I think as this thing is just not a reliable fitness watch.

I ordered a Venu 2 Plus today. Should be here tomorrow. Being that running is my number one priority for having a watch, I think it will be a good move. I'd be happy with this watch if it worked properly but the HR is all over the place and AOD not working has been the final straw. I'm hoping I like the Venu 2 Plus. I've been patient as I pre-ordered this watch but it's just been one thing after another.
