restore contacts from sd card

I was using syncmate and it made a mess of my contacts (in fairness it could have been user error) but i need to retore them from the sd card. Can I do it? How? Thanks.

Not familiar with sync mate. If you transfer your SD card contacts to your computer, you can upload the file to Gmail. Then sync your Gmail contacts to your G3. Easier that way
