Question Restore photos

Hi. I organize all of my photos into albums on my device. I do backup my photos in Google photos regularly. My device storage was getting full and there was a suggestion by Google to delete photos that were backed up. When I did that...all of my albums that took me years to create were gone from my device!!! The photos are still in Google photos, but the albums are all gone from my device! Is there a way to bring those albums back?

Welcome to Android Central! When you backup photos to Google Photos, it doesn't remember the local folder structure. Google Photos has its own "virtual" album feature that allows users to have the same photo in multiple albums (which differs from physical albums on internal storage, where you'd have to make duplicates of a photo to place in multiple albums.

The only way I can think of restoring the physical albums on your phone would be if it has a Trash bin in the file manager app. Which phone do you have? Open its file manager and look for a Trash or Recycle bin. If the photos are there, see if you can restore them.

If you see a suggestion to delete photos never accept that , it's better you do it manually.
