I came from BB where I was pretty comfortable with OS tinkering. I have done alot of research on the Android OS and becoming comfortable here as well thanks to this site. Now my question...My DX is rooted using Z4root. I bought Bootstrap in the market and did my first backup. If I do a factory reset do I just re root, reinstall Bootstrap, and restore? Is there any way to rename the backup files? Is ROM Manager just a GUI for Bootstrap? Is there any advantage to using ROM Manager? Is there a site that has documentation for Bootstrap? Thanks in advance.

You can rename just don't have spaces in the name. Make a stock backup that's rooted so you can flash back to that. Rom manager makes trying new roms easy but not needed.
