Because Touchwiz is so awful, and the original tab is being denied ICS by Samsung, I've been thinking about using a custom rom.
There's already a nice looking ICS port coming along.
However, being VERY new to the galaxy tab - I bought this one used, as a pure wifi device, though it HAS a sim slot, I want to know -- how can I restore the original OS if I have problems with a custom firmware?
I noted Kies will refuse to deal with a samsung tablet if it's not an official rom... or am I mistaken?
I'm on a NTT Dococmo SC-01C (original Galaxy Tab) with official 2.3 docomo firmware
