I tried to uninstall updates but as soon as I did, it just reinstalled them.
- I went into Juice Defender, disabled Mobile Data, then (to make sure) Enabled 'Tablet Mode' which turns off the cell radio.
- I next turned off the wifi.
- I cleared SprintZone cache, uninstalled updates, and made sure the notifications were off inside the App Manager.
- Went inside the app itself, unchecked the first box (something about use my location or something), went into settings, and unchecked everything there which included auto updating and yet another notification. This is why the notification box in App Manager kept getting turned back on.
- Once I was sure everything was turned off in there, I exited the app and waited to see if it would change anything. It didn't.
- turned back on wifi and re-enabled Mobile Data and turned off 'Tablet Mode' within JD.
When I open Sprint Zone, it tells me there is an update available and I should update it. It asks me to turn on auto update. HA! Not happening. It is back to the usual style of Sprint Zone.
What a bunch of malarky. How much is my cellular bill each month yet I get this crap? How much time did I just waste trying to figure out if I had a virus only to find out the people I pay is sending me this stuff??
