Hello,

Following the [Instruction]How to Keep Unlimited Data on Verizon thread, I just purchased the Note 3 for subsided price. My question pertains to step 4

(4)Now that you have activated the new smartphone onto the basic line, it's time to free that nice new phone up to be used on your unlimited line. In order to do that, you have to reactivate which ever phone was originally on the line that you used to upgrade. This will deactivate the new phone and free it up for activation and use on your unlimited line and it will also drop the data plan that you had to add provided you reactivated a basic phone back to its number. I would still call VZW and make sure that the data plan has dropped but it should do so automatically.

After activating the new smart phone on the line, how soon can I free up the smart phone? Do I need to wait a day or more, or can I free it up as soon as it activated?

I'd like a reply as well. After an hour of not being able to reactivate my basic phone on the line on the phone or online I hit a vzw store and had them do it. Took them 30 min to get every thing reactivated and switched .

Activate the Note 3 on the line it was purchased from. As soon as this is done you can immediately switch that line to a basic phone and activate the Note 3 on the other line.

I'm surprised the second poster had to go to the store. It shouldn't go beyond a call to CS. I did this when I bought a Droid Maxx a month ago with no issues.

I'm sure cs on the phone could have done it but after 20min on hold waiting to get cs on the line I got fed up and drove to the store. I needed a new Sim to activate the moto x on my line anyway.
