[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Are the transitions taken out of 2.9v That's what I'm running, and in the default launcher, I don't get the bounce feature from the homescreen when I press the menu button. Thanks in advance.

I still have the update.zip on my sd card from droidxcons package, but since flashing sc 2.9 last night, when i go to recovery, I go directly to red now. Do I need to delete the update.zip on my sd card or do anything else before i can flash themes through cwm?

If you are booting directly to the red without the bitmap error messages in white lettering, you do not need to delete update.zip. I was going to test that out myself but if you can answer that for me that will save me the trouble.

Question about the patches -- I 'm not sure what these ones relate to:

DRM Package (eb01)
Samsung MMS (stock, eb01)
TW Live walls (eb01)
2.2.1 Launcher, modded for SF
Nuance (eb01)

Thanks.

I posted this earlier, but it must have been overlooked. Can someone explain these patches for me? Thanks.

I installed the theme and it booted up fine and so far I have had no problems. Thanks for helpful response!

Samsung mms is the original stock messaging program the phone came with. Adrynalyne has put a different messaging program in superclean, so anyone who preferred the original can add it back in by flashing the patch in cwm. Not sure if you have to delete the one Adrynalyne put in or not or if flashing the zip overwrites it.

Nuance is a patch to allow bluetooth connectivity which was a problem with the EB01 build.

2.2.1 launcher is a different kind of launcher Adrynalyne had on a previous version of superclean. The fascinate comes from verizon with touchwiz launcher, and Adrynalyne is using an Android Open Source Project (AOSP) launcher in the most recent versions of superclean.

Those are the only ones I know. And thank you very much for having some patience and politely reposting your question. I really do appreciate it especially after someone in another thread said the thread must have been abandoned after his question did not get answered in what he thought was a timely manner. Thank you so much again. I needed to see that after the frustration I was feeling. :D

Can you answer my one question, it would help me out a lot. After you flashed sc 2.9 you still had update.zip on your sd card. When you booted to recovery and went directly to red, did it have the bitmap error messages in white or not? Thank you.

And does the (eb01 or eb16) out beside the patches mean they have to be flashed on that kernel?

No, I think what Adrynalyne is doing is let everyone know where he got the framework for those patches. I am saying that because the EB16 kernel is not a pure EB16 kernel, it has been modified. And we've been able to run everything else in superclean on either kernel.

Yes, 1st time I booted into recovery after flashing sc 2.9 I went directly into recovery and there was no bitmap error in white. Being new to this, I noticed something was different than before, which prompted me to ask. And I still did/do have the update.zip that I used to flash droidxcons 2.6 and 2.8 package via odin. Loaded up a theme and everything is running fine.

Thank you so much for the information and your help. That will save a lot of hassle.

I've got the random reboot issue as well. Something crashes, I feel the vibration I associate with a force close, then the phone will reboot. At first I thought it was because I put it in a dock but today it happened repeatedly. I thought it was because I turned the screen off. Maybe I hit the power button to long and it restarted.

What apps are you currently running? It sounds like you're having the same issue nghthawk47 and I are.

Awesome, thank you. So you now have the red cwm without the error messages? DroidXcon is working on a cwm thread and I am trying to help him by gathering as much info as I can so all the correct info is given and all instructions are covered. Thanks again. Sorry to be bothering you like a gallup pollster but I need all the info I can get.
Yep Landshark Red CWM without the white error messages. In fact i just flashed to SC 2.9 NV using it and all is well so far.
Thanks again! Will keep you posted as to how 2.9 stabilty is.

I can answer that for ya. I have both the update.zip and the cwm_all.zip on my sd card. After flashing 2.9 I can say with certainty that the correct cwm that you mentioned will stick

I can already answer that for you. It is rock solid and so is the cwm-all. I have been flashing like a mad hatter and have not had one force close yet. I have flashed 5 and 6 things between the rom, theme, patches, and add-ons all in the same recovery session, and have yet to have one single force close. Adrynalyne has really outdone himself with this one, especially when paired with the red cwm-all supplied by Adrynalyne's fellow dev and collaborator jt1134. About the only thing I haven't done yet is flash everything on my sd card all in one session to see if I can get any force closes :p

Thanks tnez21. Yeah I've gotten that answer from several people and I just tested it out. Adrynalyne is so awesome he even saved us the trouble of having to flash the cwm-all and deleting update.zip.

Me too, random reboots times 3 today. Vibrates twice and just reboots.
