I have a Nook color that I rooted and I installed CM7 on it. I should have done it run CM7 from the SD card, but I didn't.
Here's my problem now, I actually use this thing to read books. Unfortunately, it no longer seems to be able to download a complete book from B&N. I've tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the nook reader app, to no avail.
I was hoping to go back to factory software and no longer use the CM7 mod, but I can't seem to get it to happen.
I've been trying to use the reboot 8 times method, with no luck. All that seems to do is put me to ClockworkMod Recovery, and I don't see any options there to load the original ROM.
Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I did a little more digging and found a better guide here.

That's interesting. I use B&N App, Kindle App, and Google Books App, all without issues on CM7 + OC Kernel.

What I did when I created my SD Card to do the root to CM7 + OC, I also copied over the Stock 1.2 image to the same 2GB SD card. I kept this card and can go back and forth as I wish (or even us it to root other NC. I rooted and unrooted several times before settling on a CM7 + OC and got it all setup the way I like it.

I do like the CM7 mod, it's very slick. I love watching Netflix on my NC. But I think I'll leave the NC stock and run CM7 from the SD card.

It's definitely "usable" but not nearly as fast. Also make sure you check out the SD card thread on XDA.

However I have to say there are plenty of us using the B&N app with no issues; seems like swapping the OS to solve this problem is a bit heavy handed. And you might find you still have the same problem with the Nook OS too.

It is definately heavy handed, no doubt about it. But I wanted to try some other mods as well and I figured going back to the beginning is a good place to start.
