I received my Note 8 on September 5th from Verizon. I have still not received a box to ship my old Note 5 back. When I go to my account online it says I have been issued the $480 credit and my last 2 bills I have received $20 credit each month towards my bill. Any one else still have there old phone and received their credit? I probably can not activate the Note 5 on one of my other lines as Verizon would know this phone should have been returned. So what I can do with the phone?

I'm also on Verizon & I traded in my Note 5 which they received on Sept 22nd- Still no credit on Bill & paying full amount for device pymts. When I called reps said takes up to 3 billing cycles to show on account, so your lucky. Hoping within the next 30 days the credit will finally show

My issue is the reverse of yours, I have got my credit but still not have returned phone.

You have two choices... call Verizon, tell them you still have the phone AND are receiving credits... OR... don't call them. It's YOUR decision, your choice. If it were me, I would call VZ, return the phone... to karmically clean the slate. Once again... It's your choice! 😏

This is typical Verizon can't do anything right. I'm not getting my $20 credits, they instead gave me $142 bill credit for the note 5 traded in. It's always something with Verizon, they aren't much better then Samsung at times. The rep from the trade in determent assured me that I would start getting the credits this month, and of course it's not there. They did this last time on the s8 plus, I am now getting the credit and I got to keep the bill credit also, so I'm expecting that this will be the case again. I lead the reps to the pond, but can't force them to drink the water.

My trade-in was processed without any hitches at all. I mailed in my Note 5 in September after purchasing the
Note 8 and have already received the monthly $20 credit on my current bill. I'm not a corporate fanboy; however, my experience with Verizon this time around went as smoothly as I had hoped it would. In my case, I give Verizon a thumbs up...no problems at all. The deal was processed as promised.

I had to contact Verizon to start the refund process and to have them send me the prepaid mailer to return the phone in. I traded in my paid for S7Edge for the $480.00 credit and I didn't get approval until after the first billing cycle. To my surprise they credited my account $40 instead of $20 on the next bill. They also waived the $30 activation fee after a hassle with my pre-order.

I was told that if I didn't send the phone within a month they would cancel the offer and I would be charged the full amount for the phone.

I would contact Verizon and make sure that they are not going to rescind the offer.

You got the $40 because they credit you for the months you paid the full payment.

I would go to your local Verizon and surrender the phone. If they realize you didn't turn it in they can cancel the deal. Not worth the risk imo. When I did mine I did it at the store and they took my note 5 for me.

They love telling you it will be next month or even better in 3 months. That rep will never hear from you again. Some other rep will have to listen to your explosion and then promise the same thing.
