After numerous discussions with Qualcomm support about the Toq email notification problem for DM KitKat users, I was offered a full refund if I returned the Toq (which I did).
Qualcomm support told me that they are working on the "problem" but don't have an estimated fix date.
I have ordered a Pebble Steel to replace it.
